Hello,

I just had my period at the beginning of October and for the first time started Sprintec (the blue pill) and I just finished the last blue pill and have white ones left. So now, do I just start a new pack? Or take the white placebo's? Even though my period hasn't started yet?

Thank you!

You should take all of the pills in your pack. So if you've finished the active blue pills, then you'll take the white placebos now. Once you finish those, you start a new pack. You should have your withdrawal bleed during the placebo time.

Oh ok thanks for your reply! So when my time of the month starts, do I still continue the pills through out the course of that time as well?

Yes, you continue with the pills regardless of when the bleed starts. In general, what's going to happen is that your bleed will occur sometime during that placebo week. Usually won't start on the first day of placebos because your body needs time to start once it's no longer getting the hormones from the active pills. So it could start on the 2nd or 3rd placebo...or even later, it's hard to say what your individual body will do. If it continues into the time when you start your next pack, that's fine. Just continue taking your pills exactly as directed...finish one pack, then start the next.
