My friend and I had sex (of the heterosexual variety) two nights ago. It was my third time having sex, and thus far penetration is still mildly painful for the first 30 or so seconds and I've bled both times previously though only lightly and it was apparent immediately after sex. This time penetration hurt slightly more and slightly longer than my first and second time, most likely because I wasn't as aroused as I had been the first two times.

The next night (approximately 18 hours after intercourse) I started bleeding, two weeks earlier than I expected my period. The bleeding is in its second day and is comparable to the bleeding I experience while on my period. It appears to be fresh bleeding, bright red, no clotting, light to moderate flow.

I am not on birth control, however, we've used a condom for every instance of intercourse and there has been no losing nor tearing of the condom nor removing of condom close to the vaginal opening nor spilling of sperm during removal. Could this be my period come early or is it more likely bleeding caused by some form a tearing during intercourse? I've heard sex can jump start a period, though I don't know if that's true. If it is most likely my period could sex have caused it to come a full two weeks early?
