Hey, I've been on Microgynon 30 for a while now and its been working. My boyfriend is going to university soon and tomorrow may be the last chance we get to make love until he comes back at Christmas. I was just wondering if it would be safe to start taking my next round of pills rather than have a period in between?

You may want to call and talk to your doctor about this, but generally, it is okay to skip the placebos and go on with the next set of active pills, particularly if you are on a monophasic pill, (which Microgynon-30 is). Of course, sometimes you'll run the risk of unexpected bleeding but it doesn't happen with everyone, every time they skip placebo week.
