Yesterday I noticed a faintly pink coloured discharge, with darker bits that looked like dried blood. I'm a bit confused as to what it could be - I'm on the pill and have about three more to take in my pack so its not as if it could be the end of a withdrawal bleed or something! I haven't had this happen before - help?

Three more to take before the end of your pill pack, or three more to take before you start the placebo pills?

In either case, it's probably just spotting, which can happen on the pill at points before the withdrawl bleed. If it becomes frequent or heavy, you'd want to talk to your doctor about switching formulations.
