Hi chmay90. [Smile]

It's a very good step for you to realize that you haven't been doing well mood-wise. You could certainly be looking at an issue like depression. Are you able to talk to your parents about this? How about a teacher, friend's parent, school counselor, or clergy member? Telling somebody what's going on can be an immense relief, not to mention the first step in equipping you with the tools necessary to address the problem.

I wouldn't exactly say "nice guys finish last"; however, people generally are attracted to other folks who are confident, happy, and wholeome, so the absolute best way to address this is to focus on getting yourself into a space where you can maintain feelings of happiness and fulfillment even without the approval of prospective dates. And this means to first address your feelings and work on the issues contributing to them, as well as working on other areas like expanding your social network once you're ready -- which, by the way, is about the best way to meet great people for romantic relationships!

Would your parents be receptive to perhaps some counseling/therapy?
