okay Ive looked through the site to see if I could find anything on this, but I haven't. Basically, I read that spermicidal foam's can be used for protection during sex, obviously I would use condoms as well, but I just want to have another method to be on the safer side.

But I dont know where I would find a spermicidal foam, I dont know any brands or anything like that, but I think I would need to get some if Im going to have sex with my boyfriend (which we are talking about), as my mum has said no to the pill.

Do you know any brands of spermicidal foam? Or where they would stock it, like pharmacies or chemists?

Ultimately, spermicides with condoms don't add more protection than if you just use condoms properly (read: WITH extra lubricant, put on properly, and for all contact).

Spermicides can only work in conjunction with condoms if a condom breaks. And in that case, even with a spermicide, we'd advise getting and using EC anyhow. Given spermicides also tend to make the genitals more sensitive per abrasions (which can increase possible transmission of STIs), and less comfortable as a whole, and without adding much protection, we're not big fans.

But if you want to use it anyway, all that said, you can get it where you'd get condoms, such as at a pharmacy.
