a friend of mine has a hot tub, and we all go in it all the time. usually its a bunch of us, sitting close, talking and what have you (guys/girls) assuming everyone has bathing suit bottoms on, theres no chance of any sperm in the water getting someone pregnant, am i correct? i know sperm can remain alive under warmer conditions, but could they travel in a hot tub if we're all sitting close that our legs touch?

Surf Chicklet, kiddo ... <sigh>

I have to say this: I saw your name attached to the post, and before I even clicked on it, I guessed I was going to be writing yet another reply saying "No, there is no pregnancy risk here".

And there isn't.

Not only do guys generally not go round randomly emitting sperm outside of sexual situations, but to the best of my knowledge no-one in recorded history has ever got pregnant from a hot tub or pool (unless they were actually having intercourse in it).

As people have pointed out many times before, it really sounds like you're dealing with some kind of obsessive-compulsive or anxiety disorder here. How are you doing with finding some help with that?

I know it's impossible to stop these worries just by willing it, even when you know they're irrational. But you can start getting help.
