I know that eating a lot suddenly has a lot a nothing to do with pregnancy. Ive been sexually active for about 7 months and Ive been on the Depo shot for about 5. Within the last 3-4 weeks Ive been eating a lot more, and have been hungry most of the time. Im not gaining any weight..but this is quite odd to me so I was wondering if Depo is really that affective against pregnancy?

Planned Parenthood's page ( http://www.plannedparenthood.org/BIRTH-CONTROL/depoforyou.htm ) says that DP is 99.7% effective, and if you're using a condom too, you should be really safe.

Sometimes, what our bodies need varies, and I 've gone through stages where I'll eat a lot, a reasonably normal amount, or next to nothing. Your stage should pass soon, but if it doesn't, it may be worth speaking with a doctor, or looking into other areaf your life that might be affecting it. And if you're really concerned you might be pregnant, do use a home test, okay?
