Hello there.

I was just prescribed my BC pills about a week and a half ago. I'm on my 11th pill, and I feel absolutely no symptoms. I take them every day at 10 AM (today I took at 11 AM the first time because I overslept... Does that ruin its effectiveness?)
Anyway, it's like the pill is so small I barely know if I swallow it or not lol. But I've been taking them. But I have no symptoms from the pill at all. How do I know I'm protected from pregnancy?

Ultimately, the way we know any method of birth control is working is that we do not become pregnant. That really is the only way to know.

Side effects are just that: they do not occur for everyone, especially so soon after starting a method, but they also are not proof a method is preventing pregnancy.

Were you able to talk to your prescribing physician about how the pill works and how to take it, and also make sure it was a method you felt confident in when you chose it?
