I was recently prescribed an oral Diflucan tablet after getting a yeast infection from antiobiotics.

I took the Diflucan pill 48 hours ago and am feeling 100% better. Is it safe for me to have sex using latex condoms?

I know some topical over-the-counter yeast infection treatments like Monistat can diminish condom effectiveness because they erode the latex, but is this an issue with oral remedies like Diflucan? I just wasn't sure... I want to make sure I'm being safe since right now I'm on a secondary method of birth control.

I'd call your doctor or pharmacist and ask; they're going to have the most in-depth information on any medications they prescribe.
