I was wondering what the chances are that I may be pregnant after taking the plan b pill? I took the pill a few days before ovulating withing 5 hours of the sex. I then, six days after taking the pill got a "period" which i know is normal due to the high levels of hormones. Though that happened, i have now missed my regularly scheduled period by a week. I have been cramping and have high temps and other pregnancy symptoms. I am scared that it may not have worked. I have read that some women have bled and still become pregnant, and others saying it works very well. If I am supposed to get my period again, when will it be? thank you for any help you may be able to give me.

Plan B is 98% effective at its highest, and around 75% effective at its lowest. And that range is primarily about when its taken: within 24 hours, it's at that highest range, then it gets lower as more time goes by before its taken.

We can't predict people's periods, so can't tell you that, but we can tell you that Plan B, when taken at the time period you did, is 98% effective, making your risk somewhere around 2%.

But a pregnancy test is advised after using Plan B if and when your regular period doesn't arrive on time (or when you're someone whose periods are so irregular, you can't know if you've missed or not). So, both given the missed period and how you're feeling per your concerns, the next best step for you is a pregnancy test so you can find out, rather than wondering, if it worked or not, with certainty.
