So my wonderful boyfriend and I have been talking, and we're definitely very ready to have sex... but want to be prepared and have the best experience possible. I was already on the pill so we'll be able to double up on birth control methods, but I had a few other questions.
I know he did some research on different types of condoms and found a brand called "Crown" to be very highly rated. I hadn't heard of these -- any thoughts from users around here? I did read a few reviews and the only thing that stuck out was some concern over snugness. Has anyone had any major negative experiences as a result of this?
Also, I know a good lube is recommended always and a few reviewers mentioned that also, but as far as what kind of lube is concerned, I'm very lost. Though it's possible for us to order online if there's a product that's really superior and harder to find, being able to pick something up in a store would definitely be preferable. We do have a Whole Foods in the area and I'm guessing they might have some different stuff than a typical grocery store / drug store, too.
Thanks for all your help!

Crown is a great brand, although they do fit a tad bit more snugly. Durex and Lifestyles are two other brands we're fans of around here that will probably be easier to find, but the best thing to do if you have the funds is get a few different types and experiment to see which ones the two of you like the best.
Same goes with lube: Astroglide is a good one that's generally pretty easy to find, but Pink, Wet and Liquid Silk are also great ones. Again though, what works for some people may not be all that great for others so a bit of experimentation is the way to go. Just make sure if you're using latex condoms that you make sure to get a water-based lube - anything oil-based will break down latex pretty quickly and cause the condom to break. (All of the brands I mentioned do water-based lubes.)
