Hey guys so I was just wondering if they was a way it would be possible for someone under 18 to get birth control other then condoms. I really wanna go on the pill and have wanted to for a while. The trick is though i don't have a job or a car yet (though i could probably get my friends to drive me)and obviously since i am still under 18 i don't have my own insurance. Oh and also its something i have to keep a secret from my parents especially my mom because she doesn't think i will ever need any form of birth control and isn't willing to here my side of why i wanna go on it. she just keeps telling me the same thing you will never need it. please help! [Confused]

If there is any kind of free clinic in your area and you can find a way to get there then it is definitely possible to get free or very reduced cost birth control without your parents knowing. If you want to give us a zip code or name of your city or a nearby biggish city you could get to we can help you out a little more with finding a place.

As far as I know i havent been able to find a place but maybe you guys will have more luck then i did. My zip code is 60134. and yes, i can usually get a ride when needed and hopefully soon i will be getting my license and then have access to my parents cars. Im also trying to get a job but while still being high school and with the economy still its pretty hard.

You can use our Find-a-Doc database to search near your area. If you can't find anything another volunteer will get back to you sometime tomorrow.

Those clinics aren't going to be the only ones near you, most likely.

How about the Planned Parenthood clinic here: 3051 East New York Street, Aurora - (630) 585-0500
