hi! okay, so i am on aviane which is i believe the generic version of alesse. i'm on the 28 days pill pack. during my last pack, i got to the sugar pills but left my pack at home when i went on vacation and only had a new pack with me. i didn't remember that i was at the sugar pills, and hadn't taken them for sunday or monday. on tuesday when i was away, i sort of got confused and just figured since i'd missed two days of pills anyways i would just start a new pack. i realize this was a bad choice now, but at the time i was sort of panicking about it, thinking i was not to the sugar pills yet or something, i don't really know what went through my head. the point is, that was last tuesday. and now, almost a week later, i am still on my period, except it's not a regular period it's just as if i am on the last day of my period, very light, and a brownish color. i'm unsure what to do. should i stop taking this pack, wait until next sunday (when i would normally start my pill pack) and start a new pack? should i continue taking this pack? will my period stop eventually during this pack or will i have to wait? please give advice or tell me if you went through something similar yourself! and sorry this is so long and i gave so much detail. i'm just unsure what to do. thanks!

So, essentially, what you've done is skip your placebo week. Now that you've already started this pack, it's best to just keep taking it, and keep going as you normally would. What you're experiencing is some spotting, which is a pretty normal occurrence when you skip the placebo week.

It's hard to predict, because everyone's body reacts differently to something like this.

Yep, you just want to make sure that you use the lightest absorbancy necessary, and don't leave it in more than 8 hours.
