Is it ok to use birth control pills to skip two periods in a row? I have used them to skip one before but have to big trips over the next two months that I would like to not have a period during. Are there any negative aspects to skipping two months?

For women of the age group we primarily serve, we don't yet have any study on the effects of suppressing menstruation (and their bodies are different from those of fully-developed women), so we do not advise it for them.

But since you are in your mid-twenties, what the FDA has okayed to date is suppression so long as four "periods" (withdrawal bleeds) are had in a year.
