i've been on aviane for 4 months but this month i am switching to mircette to see if it's the pill that's making me sick.

since it's my placebo week, i was wondering that when i start mircette (on the day that i would normally start aviane) if i would be protected as normal because i'll still have an intake of hormones into my body.

also, i was diagnosed with a uti last week, and was put on antibiotics that ran out on wednesday. i will always use condoms no matter what, but just in case something were to go wrong with that method, how long would i have to wait for the antibiotics to get out of my system and not interfere with my pill anymore?

i know...a lot of things going on at once, and i may not even have sex this month, but just in case things do happen i was just curious.

NO, when you're switching birth control pills you need to assume you are NOT protected for your first cycle. It wouldn't take any longer than that for your antibiotics to clear out of your system.

And since you use condoms anyway, i'm sure you'll be just fine [Smile]
