I've seen the moderators tell woman after woman here about testing and caring for their health. Frankly, after watching this movie I got a BIG, FAT wake-up call about my sexual health. Scary, yes, but it could have saved my life. Me and my boyfriend rushed to the nearest clinic to have an HIV and STD test. Let me say, having those results (twice now) are amazing and it's great to know all the bases are covered!
The movie is a Lifetime original. It's called "Girl, Positive" and it's with Andrea Bowen from Desperate Housewives and Jennie Garth from 90210 and What I Like About You. It's the story of a popular high school senior who has sex with an IV drug user (unbeknownst to her) and acquires HIV from her one time use. It's a good message to all sexually active girls out there who think "Oh, it won't happen to me." HIV and other incurable diseases don't discriminate!! Anyway, anybody who watches this after I recommended it, maybe we can discuss it?
*gets off soapbox* If anything, it's a good Lifetime movie to curl up to in bed.
