I haven't been "trying" to get pregnant, but we would like to have a baby.when I say "trying" I mean I haven't been keeping track on a calendar of ovulation, etc. I honestly know very little about it. I haven't been on birth control for 7 months, and this week we have not used the "withdraw" method 3 times in a row. My period is supposed to be on Tuesday. Can I still get my period if I'm in early stages of pregnancy? How easy is it to become pregnant? Anything you can tell me about pregnancy and anything you think I should know would be great! Thanks

But if you are trying to conceive -- something we make clear in the guidelines we don't work with here, btw -- by all means, you shouldn't expect to become pregnant having sex three times with no eye towards when you might be most fertile. And if you are trying to become pregnant, it's best to start with an OB/GYN appointment before becoming so, where you can also talk with them about all of this and they can help, since this is a big part of their job.
