Okay so I'll try and not make this graphic, but I'm really worried and concerned. Earlier today my bf decided to give me oral pleasure later when he was done my clitoris was raw and somewhat red. I took a shower and it stung when water touched it. What could this be?? [Confused] [Frown]

HI pleasehelp11 and welcome to Scarleteen!

The clitoris has a lot of nerve endings in it, which is why it can provide pleasure for a lot of people, but nerve endings can get irritated as well as feel good.

Did you notice any discomfort while your boyfriend was giving you oral pleasure?

It sounds like there might just have been a little too much friction and the sensitive tissues got irritated. The hot water from the shower is going to make that irritation feel more prominent, sort of like if you cut your hand then something rubs against it.

My suggestion would be to keep an eye on it and see if it gets better or worse over the next day or two. Do you have any water-based lubricant around? Applying that to the irritated area might help soothe it. It's likely best not to use anything that's flavoured or scented as those types of ingredients can increase irritation.
