So this is the deal, about 2 weeks ago I went to the clinic feeling this uncomfortable urge to urinate that kept me up at night. I had a urine test done and found out I had a very minor UTI, so I got antibiotics and another medicine to make me feel more comfortable. It worked and within hours I felt much better. I finished up my antibiotics last Sunday and everything was ok, however yesterday afternoon I started feeling that uncomfortableness again, not as annoying but pretty much the same. I spent the whole night yesterday at a clinic and had another urine test done, the doctor told me the infection was gone and the only thing she could see on the test was a little of blood in the urine that wasn't unusual. So she said I might have some inflammation caused by a vaginal infection or a pelvic infection or something of the sort. I got the same medicine to ease my symptoms and I'm supposed to use that for 3 days, if it doesn't go away then I have to go to my gynecologist. I've already scheduled an appointment, but the earliest I can go is Wednesday. Today I feel a bit better but I also started getting some minor pain in my lower back, I'm afraid it might be a kidney infection but nothing showed up in my urine test yesterday so I don't know...I'm kinda scared, what could this be? :/

If they checked yesterday and didn't see an infection at all, then you're probably fine. Be sure to keep that appointment on Wednesday to follow up. If the pain gets worse in the meantime, or if there's a lot of blood in your urine, if you get a high fever etc, then be seen by a doctor right away.

In the meantime follow your doctors instruction - if you're not already then try taking an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen. Also, if you haven't already - try drinking some 100% cranberry juice (no sugar added) or get cranberry tablets to ward off any potential in-coming recurrent UTI.

I'm already drinking cranberry juice and plenty of water as the doctor told me too. I'm allergic to ibuprofen, but I'm going to try taking some tylenol today and see if it helps.

Okay, cool, good to hear. Can you take Naproxen?

I'm not sure, I'm allergic to anything that is derivated from aspirin since that's the main thing I'm allergic to.

Okay, I'm not sure about that - it's an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen (but it isn't ibuprofen). Be sure to ask your doctor about that one - naproxen is very helpful for inflammation and other pain, as well.
