I have extrememly painful periods. They're so bad that I miss school 2 of 3 days every month because of it. I cannot go on birthcontrol to help with the pain because I have focal nodular hyperplasia of the liver. Which means I have many benign tumors on my liver that grow because of estrogen. And I cannot take any pain killers that have ibuprofen in them because of my liver. So there goes the most useful source of killing the pain. I also have gastroparesis, GERD, IBS, CFS, and depression so I have been on many medications for the past few years. Since I have so many other chronic conditions when I am on my period all of the flare up 10x worse than what they normally are. And they normally are hell to deal with anyways. Please help me end the pain. I think my period is trying to kill me. How can I make it stop? Please&&thankyou.

Have you ever had a gyn exam or asked a doctor about your periods? If not, that's the place to start, because there are a lot of possible causes of very painful periods, and depending on what the cause is, there are different options in terms of treatments. Missing two or three days of school every month isn't something you should have to deal with, and even with limitations on what kinds of medications you can take, it's very likely that there are still options available to you in terms of pain management.

As well, this sounds like an awful lot of conditions to deal with on your own! Who do you have around to support you, like family and friends, a partner? Do you belong to any groups/ online forums for people with chronic conditions, eg CFS? Sometimes people going through the same pain and bowel issues can suggest some good solutions. Do you see a therapist or counsellor for depression? It can be really great to have someone like that on your side.
