Okay, here's the thing. It's a little embarassing but ... I noticed last week and about one month ago that a week before I have my period, I have sort of a breakout of zits on my face. I usually don't get them unless in those time. There's not a lot, maybe four or five, but that's still zits. I'm guessing this is due to the hormonal changes in my body since it only happens in those times. I was wondering is there something I could do in order to not have those zits appearing in my face the week right before my period ?
Certain birth control pills might help with the hormonal fluctuations that can trigger acne. I'm on supposedly the most recognized pill on the market for clearing skin, and still get a breakout before my period.
Your best bet would be to simply focus on your overall health, eating habits, nutrition, etc. You can also use an over-the-counter acne product (face wash, benzoyl peroxide cream, take your pick) every day for prevention.
