Within the past couple of days, I have developed intensely itchy bumps on my external genital area. Only external, right where I shave. In addition, I shaved twice within the past week, which is more often than normal, and I used a straight disposable razor, which was probably a bad idea in hindsight...anyway, for a day or so I just assumed it was really really bad razor burn, but now I've started to worry that it could be something more scabies...however, I'm not losing sleep over the itching, and the bumps were even gone when I woke up this morning...however they reappeared as I started lightly scratching and moving around. I don't have symptoms anywhere else, and I'm planning on making an appointment to get it checked out, but I was wondering if anyone had any similar experience with razor burn...thanks a lot!

If they were only where you had shaved, it's pretty safe to assume the bumps and itching are due to shaving, which often has that effect.
