I am 15 years old, and i'm NOT sexually active. I usually have my period [it can be quite irregular] but I haven't gotten it for over three months!! what's going on with me? should I tell my mom? Help me out!!
There are lots of things that could be causing your period to vanish. We can rule out pregnancy, obviously, if you're not sexually active at all. Have you just recently begun menstruating? If so, it's actually pretty normal to be really irregular like this- it can take a few years for things to really even out. Other factors can play into this too, like changing exercise habits, being sick, etc.
If you're really concerned though, or have had any other symptoms alongside your missing period, there's no harm in seeing a doctor. There's no need to be embarrassed about talking to your mom, either- she gets periods too, and I'm sure she's had the occasional wonky one herself.
I began getting my period when I was 11. So it wasn't that recent. But it probably just hasn't been straightened out yet. I have been under a lot of stress too because a close family member died and I had finals in school, and a bunch of other stuff too. But now that school is over, hopefully my body will regulate again.
