Hi everyone! Firstly, I've only just signed up but have been reading the site for a while and wanted to say how great I think it is [Smile]
Anyway... I'm 21 and still have quite bad acne. It's a lot better than it used to be, but especially on my back and chest it's still quite bad which makes me feel self-conscious about wearing some tops. I'd always assumed I'd have grown out of it by now! My GP recently prescribed me some gel which you apply at night - it's 5% Benzyl Peroxide and 1% Clindamycin - anyone used it before? With results or not?! She said it might bleach my bedding so will have to be careful to let it dry first!
Should also mention, in the past I was on antibiotics for them which helped a little (but gave me thrush a lot!) and Dianette which was good for the skin but made me depressed.

yeah i have used that gel before.
Its really helped clear up my skin, especially on my face. I also used it sometimes on my chest, but because it can bleach clothing and does, i stopped because all of my shirts were getting ruined. But it was excellent, it never felt like my skin was excessively dry and it was just a good experience.

ok thanks.
Does it still bleach clothes if you let it dry completely first?

It depends, sometimes it will, sometimes it won't. It depends on the clothing to some extent. But letting it dry completely before putting on clothing will help.

The easiest way to deal with this is to get yourself some cheap white t-shirts to sleep in when you're using it. I like the men's round-necked undershirts that come in like 6 packs for $8-$9. They're cheap and comfy, so if they get ruined it's no big deal.

With the bleached shirts i had it "lighten" the neck on some of mine, and then on others it did nothing, but my one sportbra got bleached from it.

As KittenGoddess said it would just be best to get some cheap tshirts that if ruined its no biggie.
