Is it (quote-unquote) normal for discharge during your period to be brown? And not like dried-blood-blackey-brown, but like a watered-down-mud sorta brown. Mine's been like that for all of my period so far, and usually it's bright red, so... (there is zero risk of STI/infection or anything related to sexual activity here)

There isn't really anything abnormal here. Sometimes we see some variations in the color of the menstrual blood/mucus during periods. It happens.
