so when my period ended a couple weeks ago there was a little string in my pad and i didn't know how it had gotten there. this then caused my mind to overflow with bad case scenarios of a tampon getting lost and the string breaking and me not realizing it.

i'm pretty sure i took it out last but i'm feeling paranoid. i mean, i could feel if it was still there couldn't i?

You'd easily be able to feel a tampon if it were inside of you, definitely, there just isn't a whole lot of area for a tampon to get lost in your vagina.

The string may have been from your clothing, perhaps? And it just got caught up around your pubic hair or something to that effect. I wouldn't worry too much.
