my partner and i are eachothers first, is there a need to get tested? and where would we get tested

In short, yes. Diseases like oral herpes are easily passed between family members through non-sexual contact (such as kissing grandma goodbye), so there is no guarantee that being a virgin means you're STI free.

If you're in Riverside, CA (Where I hail from), The Family Planning Services of Riverside and San Bernadino Counties web site should provide all the clinic locations and service info you need.

Get in there now! The time it takes to get the both of you tested is really worth the peace of mind it'll bring. Good luck.

Thanks for the links to PP, too. I'll have to stow those away for my own reference.

If you check in here again, love1223, check out the information about the FamilyPACT program in this forum thread . FamilyPACT will allow you to get tested at either the Riverside County Clinics or Planned Parenthood, (and obtain a more reliable method of birth control, if you want one) free of charge.
