I like to either sip warm tea or eat cold fruit popsicles. These suggestions don't actually remedy a sore throat but it does help it feel better.

- Hot water and lemon, or (better still) Licorice Root Tea. You can get it at any natural foods store.

- Gargle with hot salt water.

- Get lots of rest and be sure to take Zinc and Vitamin C.

I usually have a spoonful of my parents' honey with lemon juice. I also carry warm apple cider with me everywhere.

I recommend sage tea (which takes some time to get used to) or sage bonbons with added vitamin C.

Personally, I love salted licorice, from Holland, but a lot of people can't stand the stuff.

If you don't mind taking over the counter painkillers (e.g. Advil, Tylenol, etc.), try those. It's not the most natural remedy out there, but it works pretty well for me.

Mix, a bit of lemon and a lot of honey, and eat it, it might be a little harsh, you can add hot water, (but not too much)but you get used to it, and i actually like it, and the honey gives you and extra bump of energy.

I just got over mono, and had the worst sore throat. To make it feel better, I gargled with warm salt water and sucked on these dimetap throat lozenges that look like mini grape teddy bears on sticks. Also, those Robitussin cough drops with the honey centers are great.
