Just a reminder to everyone here that we deal in facts and realities in what we do at Scarleteen, rather than what-ifs or wild hypotheticals.

It's important we hold to that, and our users aim to respect that, particularly since facts and realities are all we can actually discuss with any authority, and in a sound way.

If something has happened to you, or you have been part of a real-something, or you are making choices or decisions about real things, those are all things we can certainly talk with you about.

But if you are going to what-ifs, if-a-person-did-X, or other kinds of hypotheticals, rather than posting with questions about those, what we ask is that you take some time to reflect and see if you can't figure out what you are really looking for or asking about with those. For instance, what might actually BE real are pervasive fears or phobias, or a need to correct misinformation, or help making or planning sexual choices you feel okay with and ready for. And again, those realities are absolutely things we are glad to help you with.

If and when you do post hypotheticals, please understand we may not be willing to discuss those with you, and if and when we set limits with you around those kinds of questions, please respect them -- and this is also about respect and consideration for people who are dealing with real things -- rather than trying to push past them or otherwise get us to do what you want when we have set a limit or declined to engage. Thank you. [Smile]
