So I tried to change my publicly displayed name without realizing that it wouldn't change the name shown on my previous posts, and now it won't let me change it back. It says that name is taken, but it was only taken by me. Is there a way I can change it back?

Have you tried logging out and then logging back in? May need to log out, completely close the browser, then log back in.

One of the other volunteers suggested that you try clearing your cookies (depending on what browser you use we can try to walk you through that) then logging out and back in. It may let you then.

Okay, I tried clearing the browser cookies, and then I noticed there's a "delete cookies" option under profile so I did that too, restarted the browser and tried again...still not working.

I'll toss a message into the staff section, see if maybe someone else will have an answer as to why this is happening. Not sure why it wouldn't let you.
