Okay, I've been thinking about getting a tattoo on my shoulder in memory of my mom. I was wondering if there is a straight/gay shoulder? Example: ear piercings telling gay or straight orientation.

There are never any universal tells or codes with this stuff, no.
Even that earring thing is really outdated, and was iffy to begin with (and not just because lot of people have more than one pierced ear, either).
Best bet? Pick whatever placement you like for your own reasons.

Just so that you're aware, it's really not okay to be equating "straight" and "gay" with "right" and "wrong" (whichever order it was intended in) - this is a safe space for everyone, and there's no "right" sexuality.

I don't think it honestly matters. You should totally get the tattoo where it looks aesthetically best on your body.
In fact, I've never even heard of tattoo placement telling anything about your sexuality, so don't worry about it! Posts: 6 | Registered: Jul 2011
