Hey, not sure if this is exactly the right forum but...here goes. I am fully aware of, and agree with, the idea that if one expects to enjoy sex with somebody else, it is better to already know what works for you. I decided recently to try and figure out what does work for me. The problem is, so far I haven't found anything that really works, and when I got out a mirror to see what everything looked like, I look pretty different from pictures from health class. As in, protruding lumps where there should be holes. I've tried in the past to use a tampon, but it never worked, and now I can totally see why. I have a mustache, not super thick, but "there" enough that I have gotten comments on it. I have some hair on my chest, and my eyebrows are definitely not a unibrow, but they aren't totally two separate things either. I've always fallen somewhere between bi and lesbian. I know that there are plenty of non-straight people who have completely typical genitals so I don't know if my orientation is super important, but from the other things, is it possible I'm intersexed? Where on earth does one go to find out? I don't feel anything good or bad when I touch myself, is it possible that I was given surgery? Is it possible to have periods, but not be ovulating? ie could I have ovotestes and a uterus? Does anybody know where I could go to find out more information? Thanks for anybody who can answer any of my questions!

Tessie: have you never had a routine physical which includes a visual genital exam?

While I'm at it, a few more questions for when you get back:

• In terms of the facial hair, is your level in line with others in your family and with your genetics (for instance, it's normal for some racial groups to have more facial hair in women than others)?
• With puberty, did you seem to develop on the same timetable as your peers, generally? Have you had normal breast development?
• I saw you'd asked this question in Sexpert Advice, and added a little additional info. So, you do have a clitoris: does that seem normal enough to you?
