i just wanted to give a shout out to SL teen, HC, and everyone else here. This has been the first time I have been able to effectively voice and get some good nonjudgemental and thought provoking/ life altering feedback on race, issues of gender, biological sex vs gender (something that's unfortunately just as screwed up for straight up too, even though it's not talked about as much maybe), helping me understand issues with my biological mother and abuse and so much more!

THANKS!

PS: Heather: I am still awaiting for your email on possible internships (although I will no longer be in NYC now! sorry for the inconvience, but in Houston instead). Also, I still think ScarleenTeen is a great BRILLIANT innovative model of education and delivery that is so so relevant and i hope that more traditional players in healthcare/education are able to more innovative/user-centered in how to reach /effectively engage such vunerable/closed-off populations like teenagers and youth. How can I volunteer/help with Scarleteen ? I have some start-up/ NGO / non-profit experience so I'm not totally clueless.. I am pretty open on how to contribute

Hello breath, hope you're doing good, just to let you know, Heather seems to be doing a lot of travelling lately, out of the country and things, just in case you missed her post. [Smile]

I can never say this enough, but coming to Scarleteen to discuss and talk about some hard issues was so helpful to me. By hearing others 'treated' me and talked to me through these hard times, I learned to how to have a healthy , positive internal dialouge that I ought to have for myself. Really a big thanks!
