Hey, we just kicked off our End-of-Year Fundraiser here at Scarleteen and we want to tell you all about it!

While we seek to provide our site services free of charge to users like you, it certainly does take money to keep Scarleteen going and growing. So, we're asking you to consider asking those near and dear whose pockets who are perhaps a bit deeper than yours (like your parents and other awesome adults in your life!) to consider donating to help us sustain Scarleteen! Of course, it'd be wonderful for you to contribute, too, if you can. [Smile] Thank you very much!

Here's the page with all the details: Help Lift Sex Ed to a Higher Plane: Support Scarleteen

(P.S. Please do check out the fun cupid logo, too!)

Thanks for this, Lena!

Just an extra note from me to all of you: I can't emphasize how important this fundraiser is.

I know not all of you will want to disclose that you use or have used Scarleteen to some adults in your life who can donate, but any you can -- teachers, for instance, are a pretty unloaded group, older sibs, too -- it could really be helpful and assure Scarleteen not only stays running, but adds all the new services we want to be able to have for all of you.

It might help to understand that it's likely almost any other site this size and scope you have used either has a corporate sponsor, or is paid for by a big organization or some kind of institution: we're not. And many other sex ed orgs (incl. most of the abstinence-only ones) get federal funding of some kind: we don't. Yet, we put in just as many hours, provide just as many services, and often serve WAY more youth than anyone else out there.

I thank you in advance for any way you can get the word out!

Heather Corinna, Executive Director & Founder, Scarleteen
