hi I know this may sound weird but im tired of this and I need a pro answer:/
I had sex in 1 march we used the pull out method then on 28 march I had my period normal ..I skipped the whole april month and was 25 days late already so on may 20 I took a clearblue plus test(after 25 days late) and came negative..and my period came with it but it was different like 2 days heavy and 2 days light I have normally a 6 days period ..then in june 17 I got another period and I started yasmin as bc pills on the first day and this period as well was weird it was a 5 days period but on and off..i should mention that during all this time I had 4 hpts all negative and all clear blue plus..the last test I took was on june 20 during my period..now im expecting my period in 6 days after I finish my first pack on bc pills..but these 3 days I was having brown bleeding very light though..so what I wrong with me ?? my doc had me an ultrasound 2 weeks ago for my low abdomen though I didn't say anything about pregnancy he didn't say anything too as said I had nothing but a small cyst ..the ultrasound would've detevt pregnancy if there was right? it was a low abdo ultrasound.. why am I so paranoid?? this never happened before..

Since you have been getting your periods, have had several negative home pregnancy tests and an ultrasound you can be sure you are not pregnant.
Is there a perticular reason why you feel you can't trust these results?

Hi Miss S,

When deciding what information to believe, it's really important (and helpful) to think about where the information came from. Did it, for example, come from someone who identified themselves by name, or someone who just had a Internet username? Is it someone who clearly identifies their background and experience for the knowledge they're sharing, or just shares the knowledge with no support for how they know it, and no way to verify that knowledge elsewhere?

in other words, what makes you believe these things you've read online?

For a fact-based article on pregnancy tests and pregnancy testing, you can check this out; Peeing on a Stick: All About Pregnancy Tests

I hear you, it's really easy to freak yourself out reading all sorts of random stuff on the Internet. Instead of just googling questions it's best to go to an established site (like Scarleteen) where you know the info is researched and fact based.

Today I didnt open google..and I felt really great..its like all this paranoia started to fade and all I was doin was waiting for ur answers..it made me realise how dumb I am ...I just need toask another question..when u did the ultrasound I didnt tell my doc abt my fear he just put the gell on my low abdo and checked it..and said theres ntn but a small cyst..my question is "is the ultrasound tgat detect pregnancy is the same one that detect cysts? If I was indeed pregs would the ultrasound the dr did to my low abdo showed a fetus?

Someone using an ultrasound to look at your uterus for cycles would see a pregnancy if there was one, yes. It's also something any doctor likely would have already ruled out before they considered cysts. But if not, they'd certainly be double-checking when doing the ultrasound.

Do you have access to other kinds of contraception, like condoms or hormonal methods of birth control?

If not, sounds like with what you want per not becoming pregnant anytime soon, your best bet is probably to just take genital intercourse off the table completely.

Well, maybe then the two of you can talk about how you both always need to have condoms, so even when sex is something you both want to be spontaneous, you can still engage in it with the protection you need?

Of course, if and when we don't have condoms, and we want to use them, we also can always just nix that kind of sex. After all, if sex is consensual, we're all making choices to engage in it or not, rather than it being something that happens to us, you know?

The withdrawal method, in perfect use -- which accounts for pre-ejaculate, is estimated to be 96% effective in one year.

That means, for every 100 people using it perfectly, 4 become pregnant in a year. Other methods, including condoms and your pill, are more effective than that, but you can still see that clearly, while pregnancy via pre-ejaculate is possible, it's something that is most likely only occurring very rarely.
