I just want to make an ask of some of you to please, please tone down the pregnancy scare panic, because it's becoming clear that it's basically causing others here to panic with no cause, or to have a harder time calming down their own freakouts.
In other words, I think some of this here is becoming a vicious, and self-perpetuating cycle: someone comes here freaking out, most often when they didn't have a real risk, or even any possibility of a risk, and then they read someone, or many someones, who won't let go of their panic, and who insists they know they are pregnant despite things like no risks and negative tests and periods.
When someone else panicking reads others doing the same, who won't accept facts, and who won't let go of their panic, it's clear that often enough, it makes that person more inclined to keep panicking, too.
As some of you know, we work very hard to set limits around all of this, and have many reasons for doing that, including that we deal in facts here, and because we have a lot of work to manage, but another reason to tone it all down, and not stay here panicking more and more is to do what you can not to feed that panic, not just for yourself, but for others.
So, another of many asks for everyone to please limit your panics, accept facts when we give them without endless hypotheticals, or picking at the facts to a degree that just isn't sound, and focus more on your own self-care to calm yourself down if and when you're in a panic than kind of camping out here and stewing in it.
Do it for yourself, do it for us, and do it for the larger community here, please. Thanks!
