When did you go back on the pill? How long were you off the pill before? And do I understand this right that you started with the placebo pills, rather than at the beginning of the pack?

If you had not taken at least a weeks' worth of active pills before having intercourse, you have had a high pregnancy risk.

When did this happen? If you are still within the time window for obtaining Emergency Contraception, you will want to consider doing so if you do not wish to become pregnant. EC's effectiveness is at its highest within the first 72 hours, but can help prevent a pregnancy for up to 120 hours after the risk.

If it is already too late for that, there is nothing you can do save wait until you can take a pregnancy test. You can do that at at least two weeks after the risk.

Are you and your partner up to date with your STI screenings? Can we give you some information on what correct use of the birth control pill looks like?
