I was scheduled to get my shot on March 6 and never got it. I have had unprotected sex since then. Could there be a chance that i could be pregnant?

Yes. Like any other method of birth control, Depo should only be expected to be effective when you are using it and using it properly.

Has it been more than five days since any risks? If so, I'd advise emergency contraception if you want to reduce your pregnancy risks.

I think you mean, if it's been *less* than five days since any unprotected sex, it's a good idea to use emergency contraception now...

eryn: thanks for correcting my very unfortunate typo.

tameka: how recently was your last possible risk? If it was more than two weeks ago, then chances are their tests would have covered that. If it was sooner than that, then you'd want to retest later.

Were you able to get your new shot when you were at the ER? If not, you want to do that ASAP.

Can we talk about what's going on? It doesn't sound like you want to be pregnant, so I'm unsure about why you've been having sex unprotected. Is your partner not giving you choices in sex? I'm concerned.

In case it's not clear now, if you do NOT want to take high risks of pregnancy, until you get your shot or some other method, it's really important you either abstain from sex or find another method you can use, okay?

This all given, you will want to test again for pregnancy in another couple weeks.
