this is my first month on birth control, i started on the 8th.on the 29th i started my placebo pills, and got my period today, just like my normal cycle says i would. i have 4 more placebo pills, but i looked on the internet and saw stories of women being pregnant on birth control even after having a period. could i be pregnant?

No form of birth control is 100% effective. None. So, if you aren't okay with that, your best bets are to either a) add a second method or use an even more effective method than the pill or b) hold off on these kinds of sex until you feel better able to deal with the risk that will always be there, even when greatly reduced. Okay?

So, yes, some women get pregnant using the pill, even though they have vaginal bleeding. If you think you didn't use your pill properly, or didn't wait long enough for sex using only the pill, or are just worried about pregnancy, a pregnancy test is your next move.
