Me again. My period is about 4 days late, I'm not sure when you should take a pregnancy test. (Yes, I am sexually active. Had unprotected sex 4 times this past month [spare me the sex safe sermons]) I read you should wait til after you miss your period, which I have. I feel crampy, but I'm not sure if its just because I've been obsessing if I might be pregnant, if I might start my period, or for some other reason. My period has not been more than 1 day late in over 3 years. So I'm just wondering if I should take the test and when (I heard in the morning is best since your pee is concentrated). Thanks!

As I explained to you before, we don't do sermons here. What we do is suggest that if someone doesn't want to become pregnant, they either choose not to have sex, or to only do so when using reliable birth control. We also are available to help anyone who finds they keep making choices that aren't really in alignment with what they want -- like preventing pregnancy -- in changing their behavior so they are making their own better choices.
But if you're choosing to take that risk, that's your choice. Just know where we do draw a line in time (with pregnancy scares, it's three, as explained in the registration agreement) is if someone keeps taking risks like this but keeps coming here freaking about them wanting us to hand-hold (and also ignoring the advice we take the time to give them), because that's really not fair to us as a service, if you get me.
Since your period is late, you can take that test anytime now. Morning is a best time for testing because urine is more concentrated, but a test can be done at any time of day and yield accurate results. So, even if you wanted to take one right now, you'd be likely to get an accurate result.
