I think you meant to ask if you can get birth control without a parent. That depends on the laws in your state and your age. If you call a Planned Parenthood Clinic, they can let you know what they can do to help you and whether they can remain confidential or not.

here are some good things ot read when making decisions about sex and contraception. it's good to read now so you can make good decisions later.

  • Sexual Health 101: Hers
  • Ready or Not? The Readiness Checklist
  • First Intercourse 101
  • Safe, Sound & Sexy - A Safer Sex How-To
  • Sexual Response and Orgasm - A User's Guide
  • Does Abstinence make the Heart Grow Fonder?
  • Is that all there is? - A memoir of first time sex 17 years in the making
  • Where DID I Come From? – Human Reproduction
  • Margaret Sanger’s Disneyland - An easy chart of your birth control options
  • Testing, Testing…
  • A Simple Condom Primer

all that is pretty much everything you need to know before having sex. you don't have to read it all at once, but definitely give every article a chance.
    LA County STD Hotline 1.800.758.0880
Toll free STD and clinic information, and condoms sent to your door for Los Angeles County residents.
1 in 3 sexually active people will be exposed to a STD by the time they turn 24.
