There are a lot of quotes i really like, one i saw mentioned a couple of times:
"The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return."-Nat King Cole 'Nature boy' (the first time i heard that was when i watched Untamed Heart, and it was such a beautiful version in that movie, unfortunatly when i tried to tell people about the song no one knew what the hell i was talking about till Moulin Rouge came out.)
"Once, long ago, before there was such a thing as time, the world was shrouded in darkness. Then came the splendor of light, bringing life and love into the Universe, and the Lord of Darkness retreated deep into the shadows of the earth, plotting his return to power....by banishing light forever. But precious light is protected, harbored into the souls of Unicorns, the most mystical of all creatures. Unicorns are safe from the Lord of Darkness, they can only be found by the purest of mortals....Such a mortal is Jack, who lives in solitude with the animals of the forest. A beautiful girl named Lily loves Jack with all of her heart. In their innocence, they believe only goodness exists in the world. Together they will learn there can be no good without evil....No love without hate....No heaven without hell....No light without darkness. The harmony of the Universe depends upon an eternal balance. Out of the struggle to maintain this balance comes the birth of Legends. " -Legend
------------------ 'You've got the eyes of ten women. Not in a jar! I wasn't accusing you. I just mean your eyes are really nice'-coupling
Goddamn, this business is really lame I gotta live on an island to find riches So you send me your love from all around the world As if I could live on words and dreams and a million screams Oh how I need a hand in mine to feel. -Weezer =\/\/=

~*stop looking at me in that tone of voice!*~
~*hell is a great place to be cuz u can complain all you want...no one has it worse than you*~
~*orange is not a size, its a number*~
How stupid is it? For all I know you want me too And maybe you just don't know what to do Or maybe you're scared to say: 'I'm falling for you' -Weezer

"When authorities warn you of the sinfulness of sex, there is an important lesson to be learned. Do not have sex with the authorities." -Matt Groening, Life In Hell
"Better lives have been lived in the margins, locked in the prisons and lost on the gallows than have ever been enshrined in palaces." -Propaghandi

"When u start to talk to ur food, start worrying... when it talks back, shoot yourself."
"If you're one in a million, then there are still thousands of other people just like you."
"Cursed are the believers of good and evil for they are frightened by shadows." <--- Anton LaVey
"Bad spelling can be lethal. For example, the greedy Seriph of Al-Yabi was cursed by a badly-educated deity and for some days everything he touched turned to Glod, which happened to be the name of a small dwarf from a mountain community hundreds of miles away who found himself magically dragged to the kingdom and relentlessly duplicated. Some two thousand Glods later the spell wore off. These days, the people of Al-Yabi are renowned for being remarkably short and bad-tempered."<---Terry Pratchett, Witches Abroad

"If you judge people, you have no time to love them."

I used this one fondly before the internet grew and exploded, but I find it's kind of appropriate given the context. It's by E.M. Forester and it's two words:
Only Connect.
...of course, I did some re-reading and found the rest of the quote which I like just as well
"Only connect the prose and the passion, and both will be exalted, and human love will be seen at it's height. Live in fragments no longer."

"After all, the soul travels a road that winds into eternity; where is the harm in speeding one’s passage on that voyage? Particularly when that soul has traversed in a path not altogether desirable. But then again, who are we to judge what is desirable and what is not? After all, perception is the looking glass through which we take in our surroundings and view our world, and that glass is tinted a different hue for each individual; in short, perception makes up our reality. This makes the glass cut both ways. On the one hand, it creates a magnificent diversity; an incomprehensible kaleidoscope of weltaanshaungs from which we may piece together the mysteries of existence and the multiverse. However, the light given off inevitably manages to cast equally strong shadows. The glass and its innumerable shades divide us from one another, sometimes subtly, sometimes wholly, leading to catastrophic results, from the parting of friends to the bitter verges of rival civilizations. The glass is not just a lens, it is a wall, one that many would see shattered, but simultaneously none would dare to succeed, for if that barrier were broken, the world would be one continuous stream of harmony. And though a beautiful harmony it would be, it would also be utterly devoid of melody, and therein lies the limits of a healthy paradise. Melody is the colorful progeny of harmony, and should never be overshadowed by it. This definition, of course, far exceeds the realm of music, into the ever-augmenting fields of history and philosophy. Just as it is the melody of a famous tune we whistle, it is the trailblazers of history who are remembered, not the people who followed in their stead or supported them, but they too are important in their own way. For harmony exists solely to embellish melody; how vibrant would the reds in our life be in our eyes without the shades of gray to compare them to? -Matt Mckinney

And, as a politically relevant counterpoint (to anyone living in the US, at least...)
"What good fortune for those in power that people do not think." - Adolph Hitler.
"Why of course the people don't want war ... But after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship ...Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger." - Hermann Goering.
To Gandhi is where we should be going, and to Goering is where we are being led.

it might sound silly, but hey, I love japanese comics, and the songs that come with them are just the best as well so my favorite beyond favorite quotes come from two of those songs (one of them is my signature). The first one is from the opening song of Diginom (though I don't really like the anime): Stay shigachi na imeeji darake no tayorinai tsubasa demo Kitto toberu sa on my love (Even with these unreliable wings, stained with images that tend to stay, I am sure we can fly, on my love)
And the second one is from Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne (which I love both the manga and the anime): Dive into Shine Fukai yami mo Hikari ni kawaru, sono shunkan, shinjiteru kara (Dive into shine, even a deep darkness changes into shine, because I am believing the moment)

I collect gaming quotes for fun and I absolutely love these ones:
"I will drop you like a wet taco."
"So, who's going to start decrying the terrible racial wars in Chess, as the Black and White pieces refuse to admit they're all the same under their varnish and live peacefully?"
“Hey, man. We infiltrated the kitchen.”
“I cock my gun.” “In public?!”
“I should just go back to playing angsty, computer nerds, shouldn’t I?”
Okay, so they're not all "gaming" quotes.

"In an age of nothing, at a time when we stand at the brink of out own destruction - strengthen your belief in yourslf, in the furure of humanity, in the things of this world which cannot easily be perseived. Awaken that which lies dormant now within your soul. re-ignite the flame of youre consciousness, and measure the strength of your conviction. Reveal the lie. Renounce your hatred. Seek, find, and embrace the truth's you are fortunate enough to discover. Cherish them, use them to anchor you in the sea of chaos that is the world we live in.
