On the front page, I saw a topic link to the staff section about Heather taking a hiatus for a while, and since I'm not allowed to reply there, I wanted to start something here.
Don't know if you'll see this Heather, but I (and I'm sure many, many readers) appreciate your hard work and helpful answers and advice! I'm sorry that events recently has turn out so awful, and if I gave as great advice as you do, I'd tell you something wise and helpful, but all I can say is I hope that it all turns out for the better. It usually does, and I'm sure it will for you, even if it might seem like a while until it does.. Positive thoughts and/or prayers sent your way!
Please know, I could never thank you enough for you (and your volunteers!) who help me through my endless worries and freak outs and for providing a site with sound and reliable information about my body and such issues like that. I hope this site stays open forever, and will continue to be a positive influence, like it has on me.
So, thank you Heather. I hope you get a nice mental and physical break, and you and your partner feel better from illness!!
