Okay, so I know that douching is bad for your vaginal heath but I purchased Summer's Eve Medicated Douches. It's a twin pack that comes with a packet of iodine that you pour in before using. I was wondering if these were any better for you than normal douches, because sometimes I douche even though I know it can makes odour worse. It's a quick pick-me-up, along with vaginal wipes, sprays and cleansers. Normally I just wash with a mild soap and water, therefore I don't use them very often (maybe once or twice a month, any of them), but I was hoping that the medicated douches are better for your vagina than the normal ones.

Those are "normal" douches.

So, yes, this kind of douche, like most others most of the time (sometimes healthcare providers prescribe them in very limited circumstances) aren't good for your vaginal health. They're associated with higher rates of BV just like other brands are.

Just keep yourself clean, make sure your underclothes are clean, and it shouldn't be a problem. If you have strong odors or ones that are accompanied by unusual discharge then see your gynecologist about a possible infection.

But bodies are supposed to smell. We move we sweat and excrete stuff that doesn't smell like perfume or summer rain or a bouquet of flowers or lavender blossoms. We smell like bodies. It's not a bad thing.
