Apparently there has been some studies that suggest that fraternal twinning has a genetic base, but I don't believe anything has proved that theory. Scientists believe it is far more likely to be coincidence, or something called hyper ovulation (the female tends toward releasing multiple eggs during ovulation, increasing chances of fraternal twins) than an actual gene for twinning.

So the results of twins is something that jsut happens like nature takes over type thing.

Generally. Women who take fertility drugs or have fertility treatmens are also at much higher risk for having multiple (2, 3, 4, 5+ babies at a time!) births.
