Of course, that person is nothing close to the first person who has had to deal with this sort of awfulness. A LOT of women have, and many still do, even though we have the information by now -- and are supposed to have more equality, too -- that no one should have to.
So, I figured we should have a thread here for anyone who has dealt with this kind of situation or has before. It can be really tough to deal with something which should be a positive turning into a bunch of accusations and value judgments, whether it's based on ignorance, as it was for that person, or on other factors.
