I've recently tried to quit smoking. I hate it. I hate the way it smells, I hate the way it makes me feel, I hate the way it tastes, I hate everything about it.

I also hate the withdrawl effects...

I've been having a HORRIBLE time trying to concentrate on my schoolwork, which is no good...I'm taking very hard classes right now (Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology), and my grades have been dropping because of my inability to concentrate. Not to mention, I've been moody as hell, and taking it out on everyone around me.

I just don't know what to do. My boyfriend suggested that maybe I should put off quitting until I'm done with this semester, but I just can't stand how it makes me physically feel.

Any suggestions? Please?

Try a brief spurt of exercise whenever you feel the urge to light up, or the effects are really pronounced. Even 5 minutes of jumping jacks, bouncing on an exercise ball, or dancing with your headphones on ups your heart rate, is WAY WAY better for your lungs, and gives you a good surge of endorphins from a much healthier source.

Good for you for being dedicated to quitting! I'm rooting for you! [Smile]

I still haven't smoked...go me =) The weather has been nicer around here lately, so me and my boyfriend have been going on a lot of walks--It really helps out. I enjoy breathing in all the fresh air I can.

My moodiness has decreased, and I've been able to focus a bit better. I've been getting really bad headaches, though, which sucks.

But, it's still better than smelling like smoke and my entire body feeling bad everyday.

=)
