This is weird, but I have this thing where I have no memories? I mean, I can remember a couple huge events (which still seem very fuzzy and second-hand), but other than that I have no memory of my childhood or even last year/last month. I forget about most everything that isn't a constant or really exciting in about a months time. When people ask me questions about things in that time frame I find myself lying. I'm really at a loss here (ha! pun) and I've got an okay attitude about it, but it really kind of concerns me. And before anyone asks, I've never done any drugs. (And by the way, I've got a doctor appointment in about a month, so even if I get referred to another doctor it'll likely be another month, so I'm looking at a two month wait) So does anyone have any ideas on what's going on here? I feel like a blank slate.

It's really hard to say.

Sometimes, what you're describing can have psychological origins, especially if a person has suffered serious psychological trauma. But several neurological disorders can also be at the root of memory loss or a lack of memory, which sounds like a greater possiblity in this instance from what you've posted.

Did you have any head injuries growing up, has this always been the case? Do you have any other strange symptoms (such as trouble with reflexes, any trouble moving, balance issues, eye troubles)?

Thanks a lot for your reply miz scarlet
honestly, I don't remember having any head injuries (hah.) and neither does my family, so I guess it's not that, and, though I have had traumatic experiences, they've occured after I started having memory problems.(and I haven't had any physical problems) I think, from what I can tell, that it started sometime in grade seven or eight? (I'm in grade 11 now) Actually, the first I really noticed it was in grade 7 when I realized I couldn't remember my winter holidays, then in grade 8 when I had no memory of grade 7. I always shrugged it off and made light of it, but it's frankly scaring me now. I guess I'll just have to wait and see at the doctors. :P
*edit* whoops, I'm in grade 11, not 10 hah.
