This is a serious post, and it's hard for guys, so anyway, I just need some people to keep me acountable. I'm not sure how this board works, and weather or not I am allowed to post my msn or aim stuff, so e-mail or reply if you want to help me out.

We're not allowed e-mailing you either.

Why do you want to give up masturbation? I'm just curious. There's really nothing anyone can support you on without knowing why you've made such a choice.

Milke, with an L, Mrs BD to you, RATS, TMNTP, MF, CWCD, WAOTA

We can't rewind, we've gone too far

Well, I am a christian, and while I don't really have strong convictions about it. I am not certain, so I decided that playing it safe is the better way to go . I don't really get that much from it anyway. I mean, it is good for a release of tension and everything, but not really a source of pleasure. In my view, stopping would just make my life a whole lot easier. Especialy since I am not sure on it's standings with spiritual issues. It is starting to effect my spiritual life, since I have these doubts. Besides, why I quit shouldn't so much matter as the fact that I am going to try VERY hard to quit. Personally, I am giving myself a pat on the back. Hopefully I won't need to much support, it's just that, every little bit counts. I am going to start working out all the time (at least every other day) and running 2 miles every day, sit-ups and push-ups every day as well... so with all that going on, not only will I hopefully be too tired to care, I will be too busy as well.

Well, plenty of folks find that celibacy is the right thing for them during their lives at certain points, either in terms of refraining from sex with partners, or sex with oneself.

Ain't a thing wrong with that.

You might find the following helpful: Does Abstinence make the Heart Grow Fonder?

But it also may be worth talking to your own pastor or minister about if your faith is what is making you confused: no matter the sitch, it's almost always easier to make choices when you have the information you need to make them. Often times, approaches to masturbation vary really widely through the Christian faith, so it's worth asking your own leader when that's important to you.
